Practical frameworks for learning design challenges

Learning theory is fascinating, but most of us need practical tools to bridge the gap between research and real work. Over the years, I’ve collected resources that help when you’re designing learning experiences, measuring their effectiveness, or just trying to figure out what works.

Some of these tools were developed while addressing specific challenges in federal learning environments, higher education, or corporate training during my work as a learning designer and current doctoral research. Others are resources I return to regularly – the ones that earned a permanent bookmark because they consistently provide value.

I’m just starting to build this page, so it’ll grow and evolve as I add more resources. Nothing here is revolutionary or cutting-edge. These are practical resources that can save you time or provide a useful framework when needed. Take what’s helpful, leave what isn’t, and let me know if something is missing that would be genuinely helpful. You can reach me on LinkedIn or by leaving a comment below.

The goal isn’t to create more work – it’s to make the work we’re already doing a little more effective.
